Create a Bloomberg® connection, and then request the category description of the last price field.

Create the Bloomberg connection.

Alternatively, you can connect to the Bloomberg Server usingblpsrvor Bloomberg B-PIPE® usingbpipe.

Return data as a table by setting theDataReturnFormatproperty of the connection object. If you do not set this property, thecategoryfunction returns data as a cell array.

Request the Bloomberg category description of the last price field.

Display the first three rows of the Bloomberg category description data ind.

Bloomberg connection, specified as a connection object created usingblp,blpsrv, orbpipe.
